The greatest miracle of all, I think, was that I made it out of Wisconsin
with only the bug bites I brought with me...
I did get to see some of the dance ball from the sidelines (no partner and I
didn't know the steps), and saw my first torchlight tourney. And won
something in the silent auction and learned of a quick and dirty way to make
a Tudor headdress (French hood).
I had such a nice time, I'm kinda disappointed I won't be able to go to Poor
Man's (non-SCA baby shower that weekend). But again, early August is always
hot. Best wait for Autumn Rose in September.

"I imagine I was always writing. Twaddle it was, too. But better far write
twaddle or anything, anything, than nothing at all."
Katherine Mansfield (1888-1923)
