Hearby heed the cry for submissions for the Horn's Call:
>From what I understand, we've got about half an issue already in the can.
Which means we've got space for more--columns, critiques, poems, art,
whatever you've got.
Got a new sewing technique to share? Have you read a book or seen a movie on
a period topic? Recipes? Musings on whether or not pirates are period? A
random SCA rant you need to get off your chest? Camping equipment you care
to critique? I want it!
Since this is my first time at the joust, I have no clear idea how long
everything should be. So for the first (and probably last) time, I'm going
to keep the word counts open. Just keep it sane. (I know I'm gonna regret
this...) However, I reserve the right to cut pieces for length and edit them
for grammar and clarity. Every effort will be made to contact writers whose
work needs deep cuts or revision before publication, and they will be given
a chance to make changes themselves.
If more than one person wants to write about the same topic (say, a review
of "Dead Man's Chest"), the first person to claim the topic gets it.
Format: I know I've got Word. Ask about other formats, and I'll check when I
get home.
Tentative deadline: August 7. A little less than a month, I know. If we have
problems, we'll adjust accordingly.
So begins my trial-and-error period.
Edda
"I imagine I was always writing. Twaddle it was, too. But better far write
twaddle or anything, anything, than nothing at all."
Katherine Mansfield (1888-1923)
