I did get to see some of the  dance ball from the sidelines (no partner and I 
didn't know the steps),  and saw my first torchlight tourney. And won 
something in the silent  auction and learned of a quick and dirty way to make 
a Tudor headdress  (French hood).

I had such a nice time, I'm kinda disappointed I won't  be able to go to Poor 
Man's (non-SCA baby shower that weekend). But again,  early August is always 
hot. Best wait for Autumn Rose in  September.
