I will definately want to eat, but we need to keep things cheap and cheerful.

I'm working up the details for the A&S field trip on May 13. Right now,
we're looking at departing my place on the 10:30 am train (12:23 pm arrival
in the city) and retuning to Harvard on the 5:30 pm or 6:30 train. (7:30 or
8:20 arrival).

While we could take the 8:35 am train and arrive in Chicago at 10:35, I
think that might be too early, especially since most of the people
interested in the trip need to travel to Harvard first.

My questions to the folks interested in going are these:
1. Are we going to eat while in the city?
2. If so, what sort of food are we interested in?
3. What price range are we looking at?

Since Metra allows riders to picnic on the train (within reason of
course--no grilling!), it would be possible to take sandwiches with us in
the morning and pick up dinner to go at one of the "fast-food" type
establishments in the transportation center and picnic again on the outbound
train. This would probably cost the least and give us the most time to enjoy
the museum. Also, we would not have to rush through dinner with one eye on
the clock.

However, if the gentles would prefer something more "sit-down" please let me
know so I can get a list of places together for voting.

Yours,
Edda
