Also, Tettie's ride on the Metra should be free. Up to 3 children can ride
free per fare-paying adult on all days, including the weekend.
Sack lunches are sounding popular so far. For evening, here's a list of the
food vendors in the Oglive trans center/Citicorp building according to a
tourism site. It should still be largely accurate. It's been a few months
since I used this terminal, so I can't swear to any of it. Most of them are
"cheap and cheerful:
McDonald's
Burrito Beach
Dunkin' Donuts
Sbarro
Subway
Robinson's Ribs
New Orleans Cajun Cuisine
Arby's
Popeye's Chicken
Taco Bell
Steak Express
Chen's Chinese Express
Ann Sather's (Chicago's famous cinnamon rolls)
Corner Bakery (a little more expensive, but a fun change-of-pace for anyone
looking for something different)
Chicago News Room (bar)
The Billy Goat II is also located near the train station, but that may
require a little walking. While this is the "son of the goat" and not the
place made famous on Saturday Night Live and a shrine to Chicago journalism
and baseball curses, it is owned by the same family and has the same great
and reasonably priced food.
