Ok, I spoke too soon. Lorriedel took a bad turn yesterday afternoon after 
her course of medicine ran out. She was coughing badly, and her chest 
started to extremely feel tight, like something heavy was sitting on it. 
Daniel decided it was time to go to the hospital. After about 4-1/2 hours of 
tests and observations in the ER, she was admitted.

As of 8 p.m. last night, they had done a preliminary cardiac enzyme test, an 
EKG, and a CAT scan. So far, all the results are fairly inconclusive. Right 
now, the hope is that we are dealing with an extreme case of viral 
bronchitis. The docs want to do a cardiac stress test as soon as Lorriedel 
is up to it, but any significant movement (like walking) sends her into a 
coughing fit. They put her on oxygen, and she says that is helping her 
breathe better.

Since she came in complaining of some chest pain, that means an automatic 
72-hour stay. So she will probably be there through Sunday afternoon, 
possibly Monday morning. Because of the chest pain, they are doing all sorts 
of cardiac tests to rule any heart trouble out.

She is in Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, and would 
certainly love to hear from anyone who would like to call. The number is 
815-344-5000, and she is room 664, under her full name of Mrs. Lorriedel 
Davis. We're also going to try to get her a computer so she can read her 
e-mail.

Postive energy is always welcome too. I will be heading over there this 
afternoon, and I will check my e-mail before I leave in case anyone wants to 
send a message through me.
