Greetings All,

I'm sorry I missed the meeting, but it couldn't be avoided. At any rate,
I had a small bit of business for the meeting that I didn't pass on, so
I shall present it here. I would like to know what everyone would like
to see for the shire site. We previously had a customed designed site
that I suspect was a bit more involved than we necessarily needed. I
then converted the site to an application know as PostNuke. I have
noticed that the PostNuke site as been prone to numerous issues
regarding spam and hackers. While I have thwarted a majority of the
issues, I think we may wish to consider going back to a more basic system.

I know that we will need a number of pages devoted to information such
as events, but I would like to know what the populace would like to have
available. Do we want to have an interactive directory of members? Do we
need an interactive calendar? Please give me your thoughts so that I can
plan out a new shire website that will be what need without the extras
that are really just over the top.

In regards to lunch, I'm not sure if I will be able to assist as my life
is still in flux, but i think this would be a good opportunity for us to
show just what the shire is capable of when we decide to do something.

On another subject, I am looking for a deputy that would be interested
in taking over the shire website. No experience necessary. I am willing
to teach what needs to be done to maintain the site in either it's
present form or as the new site once it has been developed.
