I think I've finally recovered enough to write this.

Thank all of you for the lovely "parting gifts" I received at  
Birthday. I'm sure you could tell, I was completely taken by surprise.  
It's not often I'm reduced to tears *that* way (those of you who know  
how, please keep our secret, ja?).

Rufus enjoys a place with my other precious stuffed critters, on my  
bed. The roses are in a cut-glass vase. I have one bell on my  
keychain; as soon as I get my ribbons out, I'm braiding red, white,  
and blue to make a hanger for the other, so it can be in my car all  
the time. The pin, I've put safely in my jewelry case. And the  
mead--aaah, the mead. It's sitting with the rest of the bottles in my  
house that i never drink alone...

Perhaps I'll bring it to Mem Day, or Dub Dub, or next Yule Moot...

Thank all of you, again, for making that a night to remember.
