To anyone wondering about the ending to the SCA's latest soap opera:

>From the BoD meeting April 2007:

"Revocation & Denial of Membership – Vance Van Doren (Pieter van Dooren)
Director Marilee Lloyd recused herself from discussion of or voting on this 
issue.
In accordance with the Investigator’s recommendation, no further action is 
required and this matter is now closed.

Revocation & Denial of Membership – Nancy Van Doren (Nan Astrid)
Director Marilee Lloyd recused herself from discussion of or voting on this 
issue.
In accordance with the Investigator’s recommendation, no further action is 
required and this matter is now closed."

What this boils down to:
They are allowed to stay in the SCA, but the 5 year banishment stands. Each 
crown of Midrealm can suspend the banishment for period of their reign if 
they so choose. The Van Dorens will not be getting any titles or awards 
back.

According to the back channel scuttlebutt, Pieter and Nan were found not 
guilty of whatever it was they were accused of. From what is being said, 
that "not guilty" verdict was reached because the investigator found that 
the still-unknown offense never took place.

Word from Mistress Isabeau Pferdebandiger (the Van Dorens' chamberlain 
during their reign) is:

“ 'In accordance with the Investigator's recommendation, no
further action is required and this matter is now closed.'

"The Investigator also discovered that the sequence of exiles recently
imposed on Nan and Pieter were the result of 'a disagreement with the
Crown.' At least that’s the explanation that he suggested they give
when asked."
