Hail to the Hall
Greetings all
Martin, Angus, Conir and I traveled north this day and attended the walk
through for the Boar's Head luncheon. While the kitchen isn't the Boy Scout
kitchen (what is?), it isn't Johnson town Center either; it is somewhere
between the two. There is one double oven stove with a griddle top and burners,
walk in cooler/freezer, and a three sink clean up area.
Feast prep will not need the ovens until later in the day so we should be
able to get the cornbread and brownies baked; get cleaned up and be out of the
way in plenty of time
They DO NOT have any sort of cook ware. we will need to bring that with us.
since we have to provide sheet pans if any one has any contacts for
borrowing them please let martin or myself know, otherwise we will have to buy the
aluminum ones. easy clean up but an expense.
There are three access doors (two very large overhead style ones) with
close parking, carts for moving stuff, lots of extension cords and tables
we can get on site at 7 if we want to do so to start baking. site opens at
9, so we have to be in garb by then.
We will be meeting at Lone Stone on Friday, Dec 7, to peel and chop veggies,
brown meat, do initial cooking, etc. any one free and willing to help
please come on over. mid morning - ish......
Remember the meeting Saturday November 10 at 3-ish at lone stone. we will
be preparing the luncheon stew for everyone to sample.
YIS
