Greetings all;
Alasdair the Occassional here:
I've been following the thread on the possible difficulties with the
Shire serving lunch at Boar's Head. I have not offered anything ere
now as I shall not be able to resume active SCA doings until the turn
of the year.
But, I might be of some help with this.
Would it be possible, within a shelter, to set up a small outside cooking area?
I have a 12 X 14 "E-Z UP" with a wind screen that covers the 12 foot
end plus 6' of the long sides. I also have canvas utility tarps which
can make up the difference along the sides (with some fasteners).
With the other end about 6 foot from the wall of the main structure,
one could have a sheltered cooking area for propane powered stoves,
with sufficient ventilation.
I also have a tent heater and 2 "Cajun" cooker burners for stockpots,
all of which run from 20# propane tanks.
If such could be of use to the Shire, I am willing to either get them
on site (if my job schedule allows) or to someone else in the Shire
who is attending.
