[Great Hall of Rockwall] Grietje's Mom--an update (feel free to delete)

For those of you who're wondering:

Mom's got two more radiation treatments to undergo (she's getting  
those at Beloit Memorial), and then she will move from Beloit Health  
and Rehab (it's a nursing home, don't let the name fool you--she HATES  
it there) back to Rockford, this time to Alden Alma Nelson Manor. It's  
a rehab/therapy center (not a nursing home!), and that's where she'll  
be regaining her strength and re-learning to walk. She's been  
bedridden for a month, and it's making her nuts.

Her medical team expects that she'll probably leave Alma Nelson for  
home sometime before the Yule holidays, and after that they'll  
schedule her for surgery back at UW-Madison.

Aside from being totally and completely stir-crazy (and that being  
made worse by the fact that she's not a reader, so books aren't a  
distraction, and there's no TV in her room), she's doing really well.  
The first time we visited her in Beloit she'd had a very bad day, and  
it showed. We saw her again yesterday, and she was much improved  
(better sleep, for the most part). She's ready to be moving on with  
treatments/therapy and getting back to doing the things she enjoys.
