greetings all
Memorial Day is fast approaching, hope everyone I ready. And with it, time
once again for our annual kick off the summer camp out.
Kim has the yard sale well under control. She has signage, pricing, and
lots of stuff ready to go. Several of us went over Saturday and worked on it
also. Many thanks once again to Kim for the use of her home.
Meals:
Breakfast:
Lone Stone is doing Saturday -- bacon, eggs, biscuits,
Wolfsbane -- Sunday -- pancakes, what's left of eggs and bacon
Lunch -- Kim said the town puts on a cookout in the town square for anyone
wishing to go rummaging in the town during the day.
I have also ordered a box of homades that we can cookout for lunches, or for
the kids or anyone else.
There is also the cold meat for sandwiches option if someone wants to bring
it.
Supper
Martin swears that the left over stew has to be gone from his freezer. so
that will be Friday supper, along with cornbread, etc,and dessert since there
will be fewer people there.
Saturday -- ribs, potatoes, salad, we will need something for the kids and
those that can't eat pork. there maybe enough of the stew left also
Sunday -- (still needed) perhaps hamburgers?
We still need:
snacks -- chips, cookies, fruit etc
desserts -- whatever anyone is willing to bring
drinks -- soda, lemonade ??? ( Alcohol is a given, of course )
salads ??
buns and condiments for the homades and/or burgers and/or cold meat.
Kim has the grill and is going to check that she has enough propane. As
well as having gotten the fire pit and camping area ready.
Kim is starting the yard sale on Friday morning. She says the serious
rummagers will be out early to get the best stuff. Martin and I will be over on
Friday to help. anyone that can make if over after work on Friday to help,
please do so.
Grietje has offered to take a shift on Saturday morning, as long as some one
(not me)sits with her. I am sure that manning the sale will be some what
fluid on Saturday, but as long as the sale is covered we should be okay.
Do we want to set up the archery Net? That always seems to be an activity
that a lot of people enjoy at past c/o's
Dogs are welcome.
No fireworks at this one, due to trees and neighbors. we will save those
for July 4 at Lone Stone.
any thing I forgot please let me know
YIS
Astridr
who is very much looking forward to the long weekend playing
