[Great Hall of Rockwall] The passing of an elder

It is with a heavy heart that I announce to the hall the passing of an SCA original. Author Robert Asprin, known to the society as Yang the Nausiating, died in New Orleans on May 21, 2008, at the age of 62. Due to appear at a scifi convention in Ohio this weekend, it appears that Yang passed quietly while taking a break from reading a Terry Prachett book.
 
He was the founder of the Dark Horde, and a member of the SCA in the "bad old days" of freon can helms. As one of his friends said in a message announcing his death, "he would have come to play with us more" had not time intervened.
